Creamy Bokeh (Helios 44m-4)

During my spring break trip I was watching some YouTube and was re-surfaced a video about the Helios 44m-4 which has this amazing “defect” in the depth of field. As the depth of field approaches f/2 and the subject comes closer the bokeh starts bending around the center of the frame causing this very nice separation effect between the foreground and the background.

The effect is really quite visible in the first two images. I’m looking forward to using this lens for portraits to get that very unique look that this lens brings.
